Hydraulic System
- Power from the engine in transmitted to the triplex pump throgh a closed loop
hydraulic system
- A hydraulic motor drives the triplex pump through a flex coupling
- The triplex pump is fully pressure lubricated
- The operator controls the output speed of the triplex at the control console
- The hydraulic system will be designed with all necessary relief valves, check
valves, pressure
gauges and controls
- The N2 lube system will include pump, lube oil reservoir, pressure gauge,
filter and relief valve circuit
- A steel hydraulic tank complete with filler, pressurized breather, sight glass,
drain cleanout cover and internal baffles
- There will be both high pressure and return filters
- The glycol circuit will utilize a heat exchanger
- Auxiliary circuits supply the necessary power to operate the centrifugal boost
pump and glycol circulating pump
- A hydraulically driven centrifugal boost pump delivers liquid nitrogen to the
triplex pump or returns the liquid to the tank
- The boost pump shaft is sealed using a mechanical seal
- A 100 mesh strainer will be installed on the suction side of the centrifugal boost pump
- Maximum discharge rate for the boost pump is 568 l/min or 150 US gal/min
- A liquid nitrogen strainer will be installed between the centrifugal pump and the triplex
pump with the pressure gauges located on the upstream and downstream side
Vaporizer
- Rated to 83 cbm/min (3,000 scfm) at 68,950 kPa (10,000psi)
- Heat is transferred from the engine exhaust system into a vaporizer
- Acentrifugal pump forces coolant through the vaporizer back to the reservoir
- Exhaust heat exchanger is by passed during road travel
- The vaporizer system utilizes heat from the diesel engine coolant, exhaust gases
and hydraulic power system
